Until recent years, the word disinformation or misinformation used interchangeably was never used. At least, that is what I thought.
According to the left leaning Wikipedia: The English word disinformation comes from the application of the Latin prefix dis- to information making the meaning “reversal or removal of information”. The rarely used word had appeared with this usage in print at least as far back as 1887.
In 1923 Russian revolutionary and dictator Joseph Stalin, who had previously served as the first editor of Pravda, when it was the official newspaper of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, coined the term disinformatsiya as the name of a KGB black propaganda department. Stalin gave the department what he thought was French-sounding name in order to claim the name had a Western origin. Russians began using the term with a special disinformation office in 1923. .
Sound familiar? Biden tried to form a special disinformation governance board in May of 2022. He appointed Nina Jankowicz to Department of Homeland Security disinformation board. But, after pressure from Republicans and Libertarians, which compared Biden’s board to that of George Orwell’s Ministry of Truth from the classic novel “1984”. She stepped down and the program was scrapped.
The Government’s definition of disinformation is any information that disagrees with what their narrative is at the time. They go to great lengths to shape this narrative, creating psychological operations to convey this selected information to people to influence their motives and behaviors.
Remember when the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation or where Covid 19 originated in a bat cave in Wuhan, China. Pleeease!!!! I could go on forever. But, many people buy-in to most of their disinformation. Ok, let’s call it for what it is “Lying”. As I wrote about earlier in the article about Artificial Intelligence, control of information is nothing new. What is new, people are starting to realize they have been manipulated by the Government. The so called safe and effective Covid 19 vaccines. Two lies in that sentence, actually three, it’s not a vaccine.
Don’t forget all the censorship in social media. For the life of me I can’t understand why people say “ I got blocked on Facebook or Twitter” and still go back to those platforms to take that abuse over and over. Stop it, don’t let them control you. It’s really sad to watch people not understand what’s being done to them. Running to get the next booster, waiting in Facebook jail, just to get right back on there and do it all over again.
It’s like watching “Guppies” feeding on the top of the water every time food (INFORMATION) is dropped on the surface (MAIN STREAM MEDIA, SOCIAL MEDIA).
Please help people become critical thinkers before it’s too late. Another stolen election is too late. Can you say Venezuela.
